In 1984 Mark Thatcher built the first sports sandal out of inspiration and a little ingenuity. Ideal for rafts and rapids of the Colorado. Teva sport sandals were one of the first sport sandals to be developed and remains popular among outdoor enthusiasts and the general public. Certain styles of the Teva sport sandal incorporate a variety of proprietary strapping configurations ideally suited for outdoor activities such as hiking, boating and river rafting. These strapping systems generally consist of high-quality nylon webbing or leather, are fully adjustable, and hold the foot firmly to the sandal’s durable cellular rubber, molded EVA, polyurethane or leather footbed. Teva sport sandals are extremely durable, with many styles designed specifically for performance in and around the water. In addition, the Company has recently leveraged the brand’s success in the outdoor markets by launching into various natural progressions for the brand including hiking boots, trailrunning shoes, amphibious footwear and other rugged outdoor footwear styles.
